Had a parent teacher conference with Eli’s teacher today. His teacher said he’s like a sponge, soaking up all that she has to teach him.
She’s one of the best teachers he’s had in my opinion.
Eli has a wonderfully bright mind, he’s actually quite a bit more advanced than many in his class. His teacher says he’s taken up reading to his classmates, which is great.
I tend to believe that among his classmates, he’s going to turn out to be a leader. He’s already a great example to them.
Tomorrow morning, my son is going on a school district sponsored shopping trip. It’s to get him clothes and supplies before the actual start of the school year.
I am thankful to our community for it, our community takes care of it’s own, and it’s such an incredible blessing.
I am pleased to say that the parent/teacher conference with my son’s teacher went very well. He’s doing great academically, he just is still shy when it comes to verbalizing at times. His teacher is willing to work with him though, so I’m glad for that.
Just found out that apparently my son will have an online learning day. There was some kind of threat at one of our district schools, so law enforcement made the decision. I hope it gets resolved quickly so that he can return tomorrow to class, but I will enjoy the time with him today since he’ll be home.
