It has been claimed that some Republicans (44% in a poll, allegedly) believe mass shootings are just “something we have to accept” as a free society. If they really believe that (and it’s a BIG if), then it is heartbreaking to me.
Although admittedly, as should be plenty obvious by my writing here, I’m very skeptical of the claim that they do in the first place.
No Republican I know personally, as far as I’m aware, believes any such thing. I have to wonder just who these people are that supposedly do.
