An Independence Day Message For All Americans

Happy Independence Day, to my fellow Americans.

The freedoms & ideals my country was founded on are worth celebrating, and defending, even if we haven’t always lived up to those ideals.

The truth is, no country is perfect, because countries are made up of people, and people collectively are flawed. Even so, I will never hate my country, nor teach my son to hate it, and it grieves my heart that there are some citizens who do.

We should be coming together to make the country ever better, instead of tearing it down.

Worth Keeping In Mind

In the United States, from a Constitutional standpoint, people are free to have and express a lot of ideas. That doesn’t however mean that all ideas are good ones, or that bad ones should go unchallenged.

Just b/c someone is free to HAVE and express a bad idea, doesn’t mean others are under any obligation to embrace it. I for one will always take stands where I need to take them, unapologetically. If something is wrong and/or insane, I will call it out as such.

I absolutely will not pander to it.
